For Redhat / Fedora Distributions you can find your apache version by typing the following command:

httpd -v

you will see a message like:

Server Version: Apache/2.0.54

Server built: May 23 2005 08:12:24

if you are hosted by a CPANEL web server:

For a whm/cpanel server :

/usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -v

is the command to find out the apache version.
